How AussieTopList reviews every listing, moderates reviews, and keeps our directory genuine — so Australians can search with confidence.
AussieTopList is an independent Australian business directory. We publish listings to help consumers find real, operating businesses — not to inflate numbers or sell search rankings on our basic tier.
Every listing that appears in our public directory has passed a manual review against the standards on this page. When we cannot verify a business, we do not publish it.
Listing verification
Before a business appears on AussieTopList, it goes through our Listing Verification Process. This is a human-led check — not an automated upload. We aim to complete initial reviews within 2 business days of submission.
We collect the business name, category, location, website, phone, and submitter contact details. We confirm the submitter is authorised to represent the business or is the business owner.
We look for evidence the business is real and currently operating in Australia.
Descriptions must be factual, original, and relevant. We edit for clarity but do not invent claims.
We reject listings that breach Australian law, platform rules, or consumer safety expectations.
Approved listings go live with a publish date. We re-check listings when reported, when details change materially, or on a scheduled basis for featured profiles.
Listings that fail re-verification may be suspended or removed.
To protect consumers and directory quality, we decline or remove listings that include:

Browse verified listingsReviews
Visitors may leave a review on a listing page. Submissions are held for moderation before publication. We remove fake, incentivised, defamatory, or clearly off-topic reviews.
Our team may publish an AussieTopList Review on select listings. These are clearly labelled editorial opinions based on directory criteria — not paid endorsements.
Basic listings are not ranked by payment. Featured placements, where offered, are labelled and do not replace our verification standards. Advertising relationships are disclosed where relevant.
We do not guarantee leads, rankings in Google, or specific commercial outcomes. Our role is to present verified information so consumers can choose for themselves.

Most submissions are reviewed within 2 business days. Complex or regulated categories may take longer if we need additional confirmation.
Basic listings can be submitted free of charge. Optional upgrades may be available for enhanced visibility; upgrades never bypass verification.
Yes. Material changes to name, location, or category may trigger a re-review to keep information accurate.
Contact listings@aussietoplist.com.au with evidence. We do not remove genuine customer experiences solely because they are negative.
